API FLANGES
API flanges are mainly used for wellhead and Christmas tree equipment. Compared to the ASME flanges, the pressure rating classes are slightly different.
SWIVEL-RING FLANGES
SWIVEL RING FLANGE has the same field of use of the WELDING NECK FLANGE, but it is composed by a butt weld hub with a rotary ring which allows an easier installation (typically for sub-sea installation) . Dimensions of SWIVEL RING FLANGE match the related WELDING NECK FLANGE. The seal is guaranteed by ring joint or spiral wound gasket.
VIAR COMPACT FLANGES
COMPACT WN FLANGE has the same field of use of the WELDING NECK FLANGE, but offering less weight and save of space compared to a standard ASME B16.5 flanges. Dimensions of COMPACT FLANGE can be in accordance with NORSOK L005 / ISO 27509 code. Special design of COMPACT WN FLANGE can be performed by VIAR.
SPECTACLE BLINDS
Spectacle Blinds are crucial accessories during a pipeline maintainance, when a section of the pipeline might need to be isolated from the rest.
This rotating system combines a Single Blind (used to shit the flow) and a Ring Spacer (used to fill the space of Single Blinds when they are removed).
MISALIGNMENT/BALL FLANGES
MISALIGNMENT FLANGE (also called ball flange) is a product designed to facilitate the connection of underwater pipelines. Not only does it enable a fast alignment and bolt insertion, but it also enables angular adjustment.
LONG WELDING NECK FLANGES
A Long Weld Neck Flange is an integral self-reinforcing Flange connection primarily for ASME Pressure Vessel applications. The Long Weld Neck (LWN) Flange was designed to be used in place of a Weld Neck Flange and piece of pipe for a bolt up connection to the vessel.
FLAGES OUT OF STANDARD
VIAR can design flanges in accordance with ASME B16.5, API 6A, API 17D, NORSOK L-005 (or ISO 27509) or other standards which dimensions are not explicitly covered in the standards. For example a 14” 2500# welding neck flanges ASME B16.5.

In addition to the incoming material control, VIAR Quality department carries out regular controls during the manufacturing cycle.
VIAR is equipped with various automatic welding machines for the Cladding of pipes and special components.
All items are carefully protected in order to prevent the rust and/or any kind of damage during transportation and handling.
VIAR premises is equipped with Multi-Tasking Machining Center which is a complete fusion of CNC turning center and machining center, forming by far the most advanced Multi-Tasking machine in the industry. Complete all operations in a single setup – turning, milling, boring, drilling and more. The machine delivers precision and performance for heavy, largediameter, shaft-type workpieces for a wide range of industry applications.
Heat treatment is a controlled process used to alter the microstructure of materials such as metals and alloys to impart properties which benefit the working life of a component, for example increased surface hardness, temperature resistance, ductility and strength.
VIAR premises is equipped with an extensive range of modern machinery ensuring optimum quality of production in total conformity with the most stringent specifications.
The raw material is stictly sourced from Italian or west European qualified suppliers.
Our Operations Unit is the nerve center of the Company, through which all necessary information for the planning and practical execution of a Project flow. It’s the department that the Client will interface for the duration of the Project.
VIAR is able to design and verify special piping components by means of Fintite Element Analysis.
